Sandbags
The use of sandbags is a simple but effective way to prevent or reduce flood water damage and erosion. Properly filled and placed sandbags can act as a barrier to divert moving water.

In unincorporated Sonoma County, sand and sandbags will be available as of December 30 at 9:00 a.m. at the following locations:
- Bellevue/Moorland area of southwest Santa Rosa: Ghilotti Construction, 239 Todd Road., just west of the train tracks (opened Jan. 10 by the Sonoma County Fire District)
- Monte Rio Fire Department: 9870 Main Street, Monte Rio, CA 95462
- Forestville Fire Department: 6554 Mirabel Road, Forestville, CA 95436
- Geyserville Park & Ride: Remmel Rd, Geyserville, CA 95441
- Guerneville: Sonoma Landworks at 15950 River Road
- Occidental Fire Department: 3800 Bohemian Highway, Occidental, CA. Sand and sand bags are available behind the fire station by the tennis courts.
- Sonoma Valley: Sand and bags are located at the corner of the corner of Felder Road and Arnold Drive. These are free due to a partnership with County of Sonoma Public Infrastructure and Sonoma Valley Fire District. Residents must fill their own sandbags. Limit 10 per person or 20 per household.
