NoSoCo CERT Training Opportunity Oct2023
CERT Training Opportunity
CERT Training is currently hybrid (on-line and in-person) per FEMA standards.
Online CERT Training is taken before the in-person classes – this training introduces you to many of the CERT topics and is self-paced and can be done from home or work or a library or anywhere you have a computer with internet connection. You register as a student for the training and upon completion you receive a Certificate which you keep and send a copy to Northern Sonoma County CERT for our records. We will send you additional forms to complete which you can bring with you to your first in-person training.
Online classes are available at:
The CERT Basic Training Class in English is here: https://cert.hazready.com/CourseCatalog?friendlyId=DP000047
The CERT Basic Training Class in Spanish is here: https://cert.hazready.com/CourseCatalog?friendlyId=DP000048
The next in person classes are being held from 9am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday October 14 and 15 at the Cloverdale Veterans Memorial Building, 205 West First Street, Cloverdale, California 95425. Bring your own lunch.
CERT training is free, but each person pays for their equipment ($75 one-time). We provide equipment free or at reduced cost for those who cannot afford it. We provide N-95 masks, nitrile gloves, work gloves, goggles, helmets, vests and a variety of other items on your first day of in-person training.
If you have questions, contact Geoff Peters at gpeters@nosococert.org or 301-675-7741.
