Coronavirus Response

En español »

Sonoma County remains aligned with the California Department of Public Health on reopening safely and with Cal OSHA guidelines that vaccinated people do not need to wear masks in most cases.

Since July 16, 2021, the Association of Bay Area Health Officials has recommended that all people, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks in public settings indoors, in response to increased circulation of COVID-19.

Our overall response, now focusing on vaccine efforts, strategically prioritizes communities with the greatest needs using race disparity research, community voices and wisdom, and public health best practices.
