As of Feb. 8, the County of Sonoma’s supported clinics are vaccinating all persons 70 years old and older.  Based on available vaccine supply, clinics will prioritize and target outreach efforts by reserving 20 percent of appointments for those 75 and older and by prioritizing those of any age with known comorbidities/underlying medical risk specifically including the following: cancer, chronic kidney disease, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), and other conditions known to cause increased risk as per CDC guidance. Clinics will also prioritize residents in vulnerable communities as determined by the California Healthy Places Index or comparable local health department knowledge, to address equity and communities disproportionately affected by the pandemic.
